Obituary

Mr. Ricky Jacobs, age 66, of Red Springs, North Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Born on April 26, 1960, in Scotland County, North Carolina, Ricky was the son of Carrie Mae Jacobs and the late Carl Eugene Rogers. He worked as a turkey farmer and was employed with the Butterball Plant for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Rogers; his brother, Buckie Jacobs; and his nephew, Gary Jacobs.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Linda Rose Jacobs of the home; his mother, Carrie Mae Jacobs; and his beloved children: Constantina Dutch (Justin) of Scotland County, NC, Asianna Woods (Junior) of the home, Jennifer Oxendine (Demario) of Red Springs, NC, Sabrina Jacobs of Red Springs, NC, Bennie Oxendine (Liwanda) of Hoke County, NC, Rickie Morrisey (Terrance) of Raeford, NC, and Carrie Jacobs (William) of Wilmington, NC.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his grandchildren: Qualen Jacobs, Quinnin Jacobs, Hailey Dutch, Jerico Douglas Jr., Jayden Douglas, Naziya Douglas, Zachariah Oxendine, Ta’Shayla Morrisey, Te’Naysha Morrisey, Taliyah Morrisey, Shania Jacobs, Hannah Ivey, Bennie Oxendine, and Ethan Oxendine.

He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Rynlee Quinn Jacobs, Daylan Dean Dutch, and Joyanna Jacobs; a special nephew, Donald Locklear; sisters, Carrie Oxendine (Reese) of Red Springs, NC, Geralene Rogers of Red Springs, NC, and Betty C. Rogers of Raeford, NC; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. BJ Hunt and Rev. Wendell Oxendine officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the South Hoke Baptist Church Cemetery.
