Ricky Lynn Chavis, age 68, of Fairmont, N.C., went to his eternal home on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, S.C.

He was born to the late Henry and Annie Hester Chavis, and grandson of the late Preston and Lear Ann Chavis.

He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Joseph Edward Chavis, Timmy Lynn Chavis, Annie Lois Hunt, Ann Marie Hunt, and Shirley Faye Holden, and his extended family, James Crocker Hunt and Julie Mae Hunt.

Mr. Ricky Lynn Chavis is survived by a brother, Jimmy Ray Chavis of Pembroke, N.C.; four sisters, Helen Hunt (Will) of Lumberton, N.C., Peggy Eddings, Tammy Turner (Evangelist Matthew), and Ashley Hunt (Andy), all of Fairmont, N.C.

A special nephew, Benjamin Eddings, Jr., of Fairmont, N.C.

He is also survived by his extended family, the Hunt family, and a bunch of nieces and nephews.
